3 Days Fly-in Gorilla trekking Bwindi with Lake Mutanda Uganda tour

Bwindi Forest National Park is the prime destination for Mountain Gorilla treks in Uganda. The forest supports nearly half of the world’s Mountain Gorilla population. There are 12 Groups of habituated Gorillas, each available for trekking by not more 8 tourists in a day. This tour offers trekking of the Nkurungo and Rushaga habituated Gorilla groups which are found in the Kisoro District part of Bwindi. The best part of this area compared to other trekking regions (Buhoma and Ruhija) of Bwindi is the surreal scenery! This part of the Bwindi forest overlooks the stunning Virunga ranges which sprawl the border with Rwanda and the D.R. Congo. The accommodation is superbly located overlooking Lake Mutanda and surrounded by lush sprawling highlands with the Virunga volcanoes create a striking backdrop for the highlands and the lake. This is the ideal place to base from for the Gorilla trek and to fall back to relax and unwind after the tiring trek. But then it is the furthest area of the park which takes nearly 10 hours drive from Kampala. You will instead take a one hour flight from Entebbe to Kisoro that not only saves you from the tiring road trip but also saves time to explore the beautiful Lake Mutanda.
