Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Transfer to Entebbe for your flight to Kidepo

Today you shall take an early afternoon flight departing from Entebbe International Airport to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will enjoy the stunning aerial views of the amazing landscape.

You will check into your lodge and later go out for an evening game drive for your first experience in this pristine wilderness and spot some animals.

Optional: night safari

Today you can go out for the night safari after dusk to look for the nocturnal species. Some of the elusive cats can be spotted at this time as they are very active now

Day 2 – Whole day game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park

Today you shall enjoy a full day safari in Kidepo Valley National Park. You shall start off with a tour in Narus valley in the south of the park. The Narus Valley contains the permanent water sources of the park and is the greenest part of the park. It therefore has the most animals in Kidepo. Later you shall head to the Kidepo Valley in the north of the park. The Kidepo Valley is dry compared to the south and has fewer animals. It is however a beautiful wilderness and has special features such as the dry river sandy beds, hot springs, mountains.

Day 3 – Karamojong tribe cultural tour

Today you shall visit a large Karamojong homestead for a cultural immersion. The Karamojong people in the region still live their traditional lifestyle which has not be affected much by modernization. You shall learn about their traditions, visit their unique housing and later be treated to a traditional dance

Optional: Mt. Morungole hike and IK tribe cultural tour

If you are a hiking enthusiast today you may go for a full day hike on Mt. Morungole combined with cultural experience with the IK tribe which lives on the mountain. The small IK tribe with a few thousand members is one of the most unique tribes in Uganda. Their culture is not similar to any tribe in Uganda and has not been affected by modernization since they are isolated in the mountains.

Day 4 – Fly back to Entebbe

Today you may have a light morning walk in the park to enjoy the scenery and watch the animals up close. In the afternoon you shall fly back to Entebbe
